So there's all sorts of people here, right? Got all kinds of crazy powers and stuff?

[Rufio is sitting in the center of town on the edge of the fountain, munching on an apple he's just nabbed out of the grocers. (The whole imaginary food thing wasn't working out for him so well out of Neverland.) He wishes the store was manned, in a way. There isn't much of a thrill pilfering food this way.]

Which ones of you don't age?

[Because he's realizing that in this place that list isn't going to include him.]

[Campanella giggles a moment.]

I wonder why you would ask of course. Is not growing up important to you?

Lost Boys don't grow up.

Oh is that so? How wonderful! ♥ I suppose, Lost Boy, that you are ageless as well?

[Campanella ponders this before adding the next bit of his question.]

Or does it mean you used to be and now, here, you do happen to age?

I don't know yet. I just know that no one ever grew up in Neverland.

Neverland...what is that place like?

[Campanella is genuinely interested in hearing about this place.]

If you get there as a kid, you stay a kid. And adventures are limited only by your imagination.

I don't know about that. This place does hold a certain charm. ♥

[Campanella is truthful about this. He really is interested in this place, but this Neverland sounds exciting as well.]

So anything I can dream up in this Neverland is made possible in reality? That would be very useful!

Well, it's not quite like that, but it's close enough.

Our hideout alone is kind of amazing.

Close enough is still better than nothing at all.

[And a hideout! Campanella wonders what their hideout looks like back in this Neverland.]

A hideout! How exciting! What were you hiding from?

Pirates, mostly.

...But it's not like we really needed to hide. It's just cool to call it that.

Pirates! I knew some pirates before...not personally really, but they were air pirates. I never had a reason to really cross paths with them though.

[He is sure it would have been an interesting encounter though.]

Hideout...I suppose there is a nice ring to that. Certainly better than calling it simply a home really. What sort of things did you do there besides hiding from pirates?

How do you have an air pirate? Do they steal air, or are they invisible?

[He snorts.] What's anyone do? Play.

You know...I should have asked them! They probably did steal air!

[He knows well enough what keeps the air pirates in the air, but this is an opportunity for fun.]

Play? All the time? My, what a wonderful place! ♥ I wish I could play all the time, but duty calls and work has to be done. It must be exciting to be able to not have a care in the world.

That's why it's no good to grow up.

Don't know why anyone would look forward to it.

Staying young forever does have advantages.

[Campanella means this on more than just for play. Why...it becomes so easy to have others see you as a child when you could be quite a bit older.]

Oh I know some adults that have their maturity as they say, but they grow weak and look forward to eventually losing their strength.

So sad! I suppose that is their loss though...not being gifted with youth. I understand why you would not wish to ever grow old. It will be a shame if this place took that away from you. Such a shame indeed.

I'm not sure if you're just messing with me or not, but I agree.

That's why I'm trying to figure out if it's gonna happen.

[Campanella giggles. Of course he may or may not be messing with him. It is best to allow him to figure that out.]

I suppose you will be waiting quite a long time to figure out if you age at all. That must be frustrating.

Where I come from, there will be names such as mine and then things like Walter. Seems kind of silly to have such simple names and such complex ones in the same world!
